The Darkness will open under full show conditions with actors for the HAUNTED HOUSE industry on March 28, 2009 from 7pm until 12:30am, but how about a ‘Behind The Scenes Tour’?!?!  On Thursday, March 26th, the night before the tradeshow starts, The Darkness will host a Behind The Scenes Tour from 7pm-9pm.  The Darkness is one of the NATIONS most celebrated haunted houses featured on Modern Marvels, National Geographic Channel, Travel Channel and on the front cover of USA Today and more.

As we all know, most haunted house owners can’t get away during October to see other attractions so THIS is your CHANCE to see The All-New Darkness 2009 in March during the haunted house industry’s ONLY national buyer seller tradeshow (www.HauntShow.com).

Come to St. Louis March 26 through the 29th and join the haunted house industry for WORLD class seminars, education, and to see the newest products from the industry’s best vendors such as Scarefactory, Unit 70, Ghost Ride Productions, Oak Island, and so many, many more.

The Darkness for the first time ever will open its doors to the haunted community for a ONE night only FULL SHOW PRODUCTION and a ONE night only BEHIND THE SCENES TOUR.

Features:

The Darkness will be totally remodeled for the 2009 Halloween season prior to March 26th.  So you will be seeing the same show in March our guests here in St. Louis will see in October.  Halloween Productions Inc., the owners of The Darkness, will spend nearly $200,000.00 to renovate the Darkness for this one night event.

The building which The Darkness is located has undergone an expansion to the building costing over $600,000.00 adding over 16,000 square feet to the existing building.  Inside this new addition, two new attractions will be designed, installed and operational by the Transworld Haunted Attractions and Halloween Tradeshow.  You will be the first to see these new attractions: Terror Visions, Monster Museum and Gift Store.

The Darkness will also showcase our brand new interactive que line, which will include all sorts of new features and additions to entertain our guests prior to entering The Darkness.

Limited to the FIRST 250 guests on a first come first served basis, this Behind The Scenes Tour will include dinner, drinks, and photography allowed ONLY on this night, Thursday, March 26th.  Walk around The Darkness, take photos, ask our staff questions about operations at The Darkness, and more.  Then, eat dinner and take as many pictures as you’d like.

This ticket also includes a ticket to the full show on Saturday, March 28, 2009.  

What is Included:  A tour through all the attractions including The Darkness, Terror Visions, Monster Museum and our new Gift Store.  Dinner, drinks, photography allowed, questions-n-answers session, candid questions throughout the evening, and a ticket to return on Saturday for the full blown production show.

Schedule:  Doors will open at 7pm sharp.  7:00pm until 8:30pm dinner inside our new Gift Store/Monster Museum.  The Darkness staff will be available during this time frame to answer questions.  Starting at 8:30pm, The Darkness front doors will be opened and allow all of our guests to enter and roam the attraction from 8:30pm until 9:30pm.  Our staff will then host an after party from 9:30pm until 11pm in our Monster Museum/Gift Store.

Cost:  $125.00 per person for advanced tickets purchased online, only available prior to March 25th.  Tickets will also be sold at the window $150.00 per person.

Transportation:  The Darkness is conveniently located less than 2 miles from the Convention Center, so no transportation will be provided as part of the admission ticket.  The Darkness has a massive parking lot just in front of the attraction.  Refer to the direction page for more information about how to get from America’s Center to the Darkness.

There will be NO PHOTOGRAGHY or VIDEO allowed inside the attraction.   All other standard rules apply such as no touching the props or actors, no running, no drinking or drunk behavior, no illegal behavior in any way will be allowed.  You will be ejected without refund.  Once tickets are purchased there are NO REFUNDS for ANY reason.

Darkness Behind The Scenes Tour TWO (TICKETS AVAILABLE!)

Thursday March 26, 2009  10pm to 11pm

 

A second behind the scenes tour has been added to The Darkness due to overwhelming response to the first behind the scenes tour selling out. If you are coming into the show early (Thursday) before 10pm then be our guests and attend The Darkness Behind the Scenes tour #2 ... Tour Two starts after event ONE is over at 10:00pm.   There is NO food or drinks being provided and you are asked NOT to show up at the event until 10pm.  Once you show up everyone will line up in front of the building and let into the attraction no later than 10:30pm for a un-guided tour of the Darkness with lights on no fog.  Photography is allowed.  Tickets are $100.00 but include a ticket to attend the Saturday night LIVE ACTORS event starting at 7pm Saturday March 28th, 2009.
